Selecting a treatment facility for your child is a very difficult decision for any parent. Obviously, you will have several factors to consider. In order to make things a little easier for you; we have listed a few tips for you to use as a guide:

• Is there a program in place that will serve the needs of your child?
• How long has the residential treatment facility been in existence?
• Does the facility have the proper licensing and accreditation credentials as dictated by their state?
• Can they provide a list of references?
• What activities are available for your child?
• How many children are currently in the program?
• Is there a staff member on duty 24 hours per day?
• Is there a health professional available 24 hours per day?
